Plane carrying royal couple back to Australia aborts initial landing

The Duchess of Sussex arrived in Tonga on Thursday for the third leg of her 16-day royal tour.

The Royal couple is now on their first official trip to Australia, and an anonymous insider says that Meghan and Harry want things to be as normal as possible for their baby, who will be seventh in line to the British throne (just behind Prince Harry, who is sixth).

Harry and Meghan fly to New Zealand's capital, Wellington, on October 28.

Security was tight, with each of the 400 guests undergoing security checks well in advance of Harry and Meghan's much anticipated arrival just after 8.15pm.

They were later scheduled to meet with Tonga's king and queen and to attend a reception and dinner featuring traditional Tongan entertainment.

Earlier in the day, before leaving Fiji, the duke unveiled a statue of a largely unknown British-Fijian war hero who died in battle in 1972.

In the audio recording, Meghan said: "When it came to the tiara on the day, I was very fortunate to be able to choose this gorgeous art deco style bandeau tiara".

"Bula vinaka", Markle began her speech with the traditional greeting, according to PEOPLE. "The duchess and I are leaving with special memories of your attractive country and look forward to returning in the future".

Her half sister Samantha Markle has taken issue with one thing in particular from Meghan's speech.

Meghan stunned in a black and white, ballerina length, heavily-embroidered Oscar de la Renta tulle dress for the gala event, while Harry was in a blue suit.

The couple have already received a number of gifts during their tour, including a toy kangaroo and joey, a baby lifeguard outfit and a changing mat featuring Australian wildlife.
