Fortnite V6.02 Adds Previously Teased Quad Launcher and Disco Domination

A slightly more substantial update this week - Fortnite's v6.02 patch includes a brand new Disco Domination limited time mode, along with the beastly looking Quad Rocket Launcher. Other bug fixes, tweaks and such are also included in the latest patch, as always.

This week will see players taking on a variety of different challenges, as they try to earn those Battle Stars and level up their Battle Pass. Players will be competing for control over these dance floors while dancing to raise the disco ball. The objective is to fill up your team's dance meter by capturing dance floors that can be found scattered across the map.

The Quad Launcher is coming to Fortnite: Battle Royale soon, according to the news section in the Fortnite client. Following downtime, patch v6.02 is now live with a Quad Rocket Launcher and a new limited time mode.

Are you thinking about joining in with the Fortnite craze? In the brief introductory clip shared by Epic, players rapidly canvas a large area with explosive damage. Your mission is to take over them by clearing out enemies and dancing to raise the disco balls. Though less prevalent, this same tactic could be employed by carrying multiple rocket launchers.

Increased Epic Rocket Launcher drop chance from 0.59% to 0.66%. Teams who managed to fill the dance bar meter first will be the victor of the dance floor and the match.

In this mode, there will be two teams of 50, with respawning activated until the third and last storm circle.

In Fortnite, players and their friends lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by a mysterious darkness only known as "the Storm".

The Port-a-Fortress has returned and can be looted in-game.

- Increased the texture pool size on Xbox One, which should avoid some issues with blurry textures and improve rendering performance.

Vindertech Disintegrator Shotgun has returned and is available in the Weekly Store.
