'The Bachelor': Colton Underwood to Be Season 23 Star of ABC Series

On Tuesday, the former National Football League star was announced as the 23rd "Bachelor" in franchise history, after finishing fourth on Becca Kufrin's season of "The Bachelorette" in July. He also isn't the only virgin to compete on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. "You deserve somebody who is insane about you". "Can't wait to see what the future has in store for you and catch up on life some day, preferably over a hot dog dinner". Booth added that while things may not work out as they were planned, she believes they work out as they should.

Blogger Reality Steve has also said that he thinks Underwood is not on the show for the right reasons.

Colton is best known in Bachelor Nation for his relationship with fellow contestant Tia Booth. The show is now casting women and for an as-yet-unannounced male star. This makes Underwood the first ever virgin star of the show.

Time to start lining up the long-stemmed red roses: A new Bachelor is ready to find his one true love - or at least woo a couple dozen woman before inevitably landing a spot on Dancing with the Stars. "She's incredible. She's just not for me".

Hosted by Chris Harrison, The Bachelor is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Unscripted & Alternative Television. There's the, 'Is he ready for this?' angle with Tia, and is that still hanging over him? I think it took all that to get to where I am now and who I am as a person'.

He then went on "Bachelor in Paradise" where he rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend and former Bachelor contestant, Tia Booth.

Colton and Tia reconnected in Paradise, and though they didn't instantly hit it off as Colton waffled over his feelings, he eventually labeled her his "girlfriend" in episode 5.
