North Korea Ramping Up Nuclear Fuel Production at Secret Cites

New satellite photos show that Kim Jong Un is continuing to develop his nuclear weapons program, and US intelligence sources say they believe North Korea has increased its production of nuclear fuel at multiple sites.

Over a dozen unnamed officials told NBC reporters Courtney Kube, Ken Dilanian and Carol E. Lee that intel analysts' findings show the regime's increased efforts to produce enriched uranium for nuclear weapons - all while trying to milk as many concessions out of the Trump administration as it can.

"There's no evidence that they are decreasing stockpiles, or that they have stopped their production", NBC quoted one USA official as saying.

"We know exactly what the risks are, of them using negotiations to drag out the length of time they have to continue their nuclear, chemical, biological weapons programs, ballistic missiles", Bolton said.

The lone weapons facility that has been acknowledged by North Korea is in Yongbyon, 100 kilometres north of Pyongyang. They also pointed out that North Korea has made similar agreements in the past, only to renege.

"What our experts have devised is a program that, with North Korean cooperation, with full disclosure of all of their chemical and biological, nuclear programs, ballistic missile sites, we can get - physically we would be able to dismantle the overwhelming bulk of their programs within a year", Bolton said, noting that full disclosure has not yet happened.

There is no love lost between President Donald Trump and mainstream U.S. media, which he has repeatedly called "fake news".

The Washington Post reported on Saturday that USA intelligence officials have concluded that North Korea does not intend to fully give up its nuclear arsenal and is considering ways to hide the number of weapons it has.

The Washington Post on Saturday cited unnamed USA intelligence officials as concluding that North Korea does not intend to fully surrender its nuclear stockpile.

The NBC report quoted United States officials who said they believe that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un might try to hide the facilities as he seeks more concessions in nuclear talks with the US.

However, one official pointed out that, despite the assessment, the talks between the USA and North Korea were positive and Kim's decision to destroy a major missile-testing site and suspend nuclear and missile tests were a step forward.

He said the one-year program the U.S. is proposing would cover all of the North's chemical and biological weapons, nuclear programs and ballistic missiles. The Financial Times reported that Pompeo was due to visit North Korea this week but the State Department has not confirmed any travel plans.

"My government will not rest until we have done everything in our power to reduce violent crime and to protect innocent life", Trump said.

"So we gave nothing". "We had a very good chemistry".

Pompeo postponed plans to meet with Defense Secretary Jim Mattis and their counterparts from India on July 6, citing unavoidable circumstances, which has fueled speculation he will make a third trip to Pyongyang.
