Maisie Williams Posts a Goodbye to 'Game of Thrones'

Maisie Williams Posts a Goodbye to 'Game of Thrones'

And, by the Game of Thrones philosophy ("you win or you die"), that makes Maisie (not even Arya) the real victor.

But now she is older, the Game of Thrones star embraces her love of pink, but admitted Arya would certainly feel different. She's also been nominated for an Emmy for her performance on the series.

On July 7, the British actress - who plays Aria Stark on the Emmy-winning show, which was primarily shot in Northern Ireland - shared a snapshot of herself wearing white sneakers splattered with blood. The caption reads, "Goodbye Belfast". In lieu of a heartfelt goodbye, Kit Harington simply went off and got married (to his one-time co-star Rose Leslie); Sophie Turner dyed her hair blonde (Sansa Stark is famously ginger) and is about to get married; and Gwendoline Christie is a model now. "What a joy I've had".

Her post and accompanying hashtags '#lastwomanstanding #barely #immasleepforthenextfouryears #justkiddingidontsleep" sent many of her fans into a tailspin, with one writing: "Last woman standing? Season 8 doesn't premiere until 2019.

Would Arya's love of the colour red help on her quest to get revenge on those who have wronged her?

The actress may gave given away the ending of the show with one hashtag.

She teased: "I think people are gonna like it". Goodbye Arya. Goodbye Game of Thrones.

"The best and most powerful characters are all women..." Could Arya be the only female character to survive the final epic battle?

However, it seems we will have to wait till the season finale to find out what she meant.
