Fired Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe to shut down legal defense fund

In the op-ed, Jill defended her honor and reputation and that of her husband's by saying that the president and his allies persistently and falsely attacked her. Ultimately I believe it somehow never occurred to them that I could be a serious, independent-minded physician who wanted to run for office for legitimate reasons.

"For the past year and a half of this nightmare, I have not been free to speak out about what happened".

Andrew McCabe was sacked just days before he would have been eligible to receive his pension.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe just 26 hours before he could retire and begin collecting his full retirement benefits, bringing McCabe's more than 20-year career in the bureau to an ignominious end.

Apart from this, McCabe has also pushed laws in order to better protect the health of the kids in the community.

For months, people at work would walk by the emergency room pediatrician's office and ask why she hadn't spoken up, but "from the very beginning, she didn't want to do anything to hurt Andrew", the source said. She now resides in Loudoun County with her husband and two children.

McCabe, who ran in 2015 as a Democrat for a Virginia State Senate seat, said the a year ago and a half have been a "nightmare" for her and her family because of "twisted reporting and presidential tweets".

She recalled the horror of Trump taking to Twitter in 2017 to suggest contributions to her state senate campaign may have influenced McCabe's investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server.

Jill McCabe called the claims "just false and utterly absurd". "This could not be further from the truth".

"So it looked like they were paying [Jill McCabe], putting a lot of money toward her campaign so that she would win, because her husband was with the FBI investigating Hillary Clinton", Earhardt said. "Andrew's involvement in the Clinton investigation came not only after the contributions were made to my campaign but also after the race was over".

McCabe was sacked by Attorney General Jeff Sessions on March 16, 26 hours before he was planning to retire, based on allegations he had lied in an internal probe over his handling of the 2016 investigation of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

McCabe explained how Trump "started tweeting about how the contributions to my campaign made it clear that Andrew (and all the senior leadership at the FBI) were corrupt and that he should be removed".
