"She is already effectively being treated as a full-blown member of the royal family, even if she hasn't married Prince Harry yet", Roya Nikkhah, royal correspondent for The Sunday Times, told NBC.

Specifically, for her first engagement with the British monarch, Meghan joined the royal family at Westminster Abbey for a service in honor of Commonwealth Day.

Meghan Markle was kidnapped and held as a hostage by the SAS in an exercise to prepare her for potential terror attacks.

It was decided that Markle should have the training before her May wedding to Harry because of heightened security concerns after a package containing white powder was sent to Markle and set off an anthrax scare, Wonderwall reported.

"She was saying what a lovely service it had been and her first service at Westminster Abbey", said Holly Hartley, the principal of Thistley Hough Academy in Stoke on Trent.

Along with Prince Harry, she walked down the line of students and introduced herself to them, saying, "Hi, I'm Meghan".

Inside, the family heard speeches and prayers from representatives of Commonwealth nations, as well as a performance from British pop star, and former One Direction member, Liam Payne. In her message this year, the Queen (who is head of the Commonwealth) praised diversity.

He went on to highlight the Commonwealth's theme for 2018 - Towards a Common Future - telling the congregation "we have a shared history but more importantly we have a shared future". Markle's hat is designed by Stephen Jones.

Meghan was seen singing along to the national anthem, "God Save the Queen", as the service began - Watch below!

After the service, William, Kate, Harry and Meghan met with schoolchildren who traveled from Belfast, Fyfe, Aberystwyth, Stoke-on-Trent, Alnmouth, Berwick-upon-tweed and York to attend the service.
