Man arrested for stealing Frances McDormand's Oscar; actress, trophy reunited

Yesterday, reports emerged of Frances McDormand being in tears at an Oscars after-party after she had apparently lost or misplaced her brand new Best Actress Oscar.

McDormand was attending the Governor's Ball after the 90th Academy Awards when she noticed her statue had disappeared from her table.

Witnesses said Bryant, dressed in tuxedo, strutted around at the party, claiming that McDormand's Oscar was his.

He also appeared to show off the Oscar in a now-deleted live video posted on a Facebook account for Terry Bryant Djmatari. "The photographer did not recognize Bryant as a recipient from the awards show and believed he was in possession of a trophy which did not belong to him", the LAPD said in a statement on Twitter.

Los Angeles police say Bryant had a ticket for the ball and he quickly yielded it when confronted by officers. "This is mine. We got it tonight, baby".

Her rep told USA Today that the actress got the trophy back.

"I lost my Oscar", the two-time Oscar victor said, shrugging her shoulders as she left the party, according to video recorded by Reuters Television.

Unfortunately, Terry Bryant didn't get that particular memo.

"They celebrated the reunion with a double cheeseburger from In-N-Out Burger", her representative added.

The star (60) picked up the coveted gong for her towering performance as a grieving mother in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Shortly after, Streep, Robbie, Ronan and Hawkins enjoyed a group hug in the audience, which thankfully, was captured on camera for us all to enjoy.
