Eagles mock draft roundup: Mel Kiper likes Texas A&M playmaker 'Baby Beckham'

The UCLA quarterback tumbled all the way to No. 11 and was leapfrogged by two other quarterbacks - USC's Sam Darnold and UCLA's Baker Mayfield - in the process. Smack dab at the top of his draft was Josh Allen. He didn't have many of those, if any.

"Physically he looks like a big-time quarterback, " said Kiper.

Regardless, it's interesting to see which players the experts think the Eagles might be interested in. If he had those easy throws, those laypus, he'd have been at 60 percent. "Carlton Davis, the corner, could also be the mix to be a second round pick".

With Saquon Barkley off the board, Cleveland can fill a huge need at cornerback with the pick it acquired in the Texans' trade up for Deshaun Watson a year ago. Of course, we'll have to see if the Bills move on a cornerback in free agency.

The Aztecs have had only three running backs go in the top two rounds - Marshall Faulk in the first round to Indianapolis in 1994, David "Deacon" Turner in the second round to Cincinnati in 1977 and Don Shy in the second round to Pittsburgh in 1967. Los Angeles has two young star edge rushers in Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram, but it has to improve on the interior.

The only players ranked ahead of Edmunds on the list were Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, Notre Dame guard Quenton Nelson and N.C. State defensive end Bradley Chubb.

"He was one of the best offensive linemen there, and he neutralized pass-rushers on nearly every one-on-one rep. Wynn played guard and tackle for the Bulldogs, but at 6-2, 308, scouts see him as a guard at the next level".

"The fact is you can compare players from other eras", Kiper said. "There's a huge dropoff back to Marcus Davenport from Texas-San Antonio, and after that there's a big dropoff". He can make it very hard to pass up if he wows you over there (in Indianapolis) because he's already done it and he's won games. He spent last year's first-round pick on Derek Barnett despite already having Brandon Graham and Vinny Curry, so I don't think it's out of the question that he could opt for a talented defensive tackle to play in a rotation with Fletcher Cox and Timmy Jernigan.

If that's true, then Cleveland is sitting in the prime seller's position at No. 4.
