Colts won't make London trip in 2018

Colts won't make London trip in 2018

The NFL announced its four worldwide games for 2018, three in London and one in Mexico City. That shouldn't be the case in 2018. Kick-off times and the order of the games at Wembley will be announced at a later date. Tottenham Hotspur and the league will split gate receipts and food, drink and merchandise sales from NFL games there.

"We have created something very unique", Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy said at the announcement of fixtures.

The game will be played in week six of the season on October 14. But the Raiders are intriguing again with coach Jon Gruden, and could improve quickly with stars like quarterback Derek Carr and defensive end Khalil Mack.

"It was an honor to be part of the early wave of regular-season games played overseas back then, and it is every bit the honor to represent the league in London this time around".

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars, Wembley Stadium, Oct. 21 or 28. Their opponent for next season in London was announced Thursday: the Philadelphia Eagles. The Jaguars won the AFC South with one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Wembley, where Spurs are playing until the new stadium is completed, will host two more National Football League games on October 21 and 28, with the Philadelphia Eagles due to face the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Tennessee Titans taking on the Los Angeles Chargers.

Teams don't like giving up home games, but the ones that are most vulnerable are the ones that have trouble selling tickets.

Twickenham hosted three games in the last two seasons, but is not on the schedule in 2018. The NFL have already staged 21 regular-season games in London and Waller believes a franchise could be possible in the next "four to five years".

However, NFL executive vice-president Mark Waller revealed Tottenham's new stadium will host three matches in a future season to compensate for the shortfall in 2018-19.

From 1994 to 1999, the Chargers played three preseason games as part of the NFL's American Bowl series, against the New York Giants in Berlin in 1994, the Pittsburgh Steelers in Tokyo in 1996 and the Denver Broncos in Sydney, Australia, in 1999.

The matchups could look bad by October because the league is unpredictable.
