Woman accused of ruining $300K of artwork while drunk on 1st date

Prosecutors said in court Wednesday that Lindy Lou Layman, a 29-year-old Dallas court reporter, was on the date with attorney Anthony Buzbee on December 23 when she allegedly went on her destructive spree, according to KHOU. The resulting damage cost at least $300,000.

Prosecutors say a first date took a turn for the worse when a court reporter ripped a Houston trial attorney's two Andy Warhol paintings, worth $500,000 each, off the wall during a drunken fit at his mansion. "Luckily those weren't damaged", Buzbee added. She's also accused of throwing and shattering two sculptures. Buzbee located her and called her a second Uber, but the suspect allegedly became aggressive. That didn't work either: Layman acted aggressively toward the driver, prosecutors said, and then went back into the attorney's home, yelling: "I'm not leaving", according to KTRK.

That is the point at which she supposedly poured red wine on his depictions and scammed them the divider, at that point tossed his models on the ground.

"It's not the first time I've had guests at a party of mine over imbibe", Buzbee told Texas Lawyer.

Layman now faces felony charges, but she is currently released on a $30,000 bond. Buzbee thought Layman was too intoxicated and called an Uber driver, according to court details reported by KTRK.

When Buzbee purchased the mansion near the River Oaks country club in 2013, it was listed at a record-setting $14 million, the Houston Chronicle reports.

The newspaper reports Buzbee later disavowed the then-candidate after the behind-the-scenes Access Hollywood tape surfaced in which Trump could be heard talking about kissing and groping women. Attendees paid between $5,400 and a quarter of a million dollars to come.
