Uttarakhand natural disaster measuring 5.5 Richter Scale hits Rudraprayag; tremors in north India

Breaking News a Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and the National Capital Region this evening at 8:50 Pm for a few seconds after a 5.5 magnitude natural disaster struck Uttarakhand.

The epicentre was Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

A moderate quake hit India's northern state of Uttarakhand on Wednesday, officials said.

This is the second quake in Uttarakhand in the past 24 hours.

According to TV reports, in Uttarakhand the magnitude recorded on the Richter scale is 5.5.

There were no reports of loss of property or life. Meanwhile, Uttarakhand also witnessed heavy snowfall in the hilly regions of the state on Wednesday, bringing the mercury down. As per the reports, the strong tremors have also felt in Punjab and Haryana. Strong tremors were felt in Delhi and other areas across northern India.
