Logan Airport Plane Skids After Landing; No One Hurt

A Christmas flight skidded off the runway at Boston's Logan Airport on Monday night after it landed on a patch of ice.

"We were straight and all of a sudden we started fishtailing. And, yeah, it started getting rough", Flight 50 passenger Steve Chisholm of SC said to WCVB TV of Boston.

Passengers said the plane hit the ice and, suddenly, it felt like they were doing donuts on the tarmac. "We just need a tow".

No injuries have been reported among the passengers flying from Savannah, Georgia.

"Coming down the runway and all of a sudden we started sliding and spinning and spinning and spinning".

The plane finally came to a stop between two taxiways. None of the passengers were hurt.

Firefighters loaded passengers into buses which took them back to the airport terminal after the spin.

MA transit officials told CBS Boston on Monday that airport crews were unable to keep up with the snow as it fell early this morning.

Crews worked to clear the runways at Logan Airport Christmas Day during the peak of the snowstorm. Massachusetts Department of Transportation said it had almost 2,000 crews out plowing snow.
