Liverpool fans rip into defender after Arsenal draw

The last round of games before Christmas is headlined by a hugely anticipated clash between Arsenal and Liverpool.

The 25-year-old arrived at the club in the summer of 2017 from Roma and has made an immediate impression at Anfield, scoring 20 goals in 26 appearances - a club-best figure. The pair have struggled in front of goal recently, however, Friday's game against a top-six rival could be the motivation needed to end their barren run.

Liverpool fullback Andrew Robertson hailed their performance after drawing 3-3 draw at Arsenal on Friday night.

As for Arsenal, they have been more inconsistent of late winning just one of their last five league matches which came in a 1-0 victory over Newcastle United last weekend.

In the league table, Liverpool will remain one point ahead of Arsenal in fourth-place but they will see it as two points dropped.

Arsenal have not been particularly impressive at the back but Liverpool scored an equaliser thanks to a gaffe from the normally-redoubtable Petr Cech.
Roberto Firmino took a shot from inside the box and while Cech got a hand to it, the ball managed to trickle into the net, much to the disbelief of his teammates.

That means Alexandre Lacazette leads the line with Jack Wilshere in midfield and Ainsley Maitland-Niles at full back.

The youngster was playing at right-back in the game and had look fairly settled in the first-half, but was caught out in the second period.

Mohamed Salah is confident his impressive first campaign at Liverpool can yield silverware.

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas had some surprise answers when asked to pick his Arsenal and Liverpool combined XI.

Hector Bellerin swung a cross to the far post and with Liverpool defender Joe Gomez losing concentration, Sanchez nipped in to head home. It's yet another game that they've thrown away a lead - something they have done four times in the space of a month.
