Shootout At Dwarka Mor Metro Station In New Delhi

The operation against the criminals was initiated by the Punjab Police who had approached their counterparts in Delhi on Tuesday morning, reported the Hindustan Times.

The fighting followed a raid the Delhi Police and Punjab Police conducted in Dwarka Mor area to apprehend two men from the state wanted for several crimes, a police officer here said. However, his accomplices, identified as Deepak, Naresh alias Sumit, Sunil, Tinku alias Rahul, and Krishan were arrested following the exchange of fire, the police said. Police said they had made a Bollywood style escape.

A brief encounter broke out between criminals and the Punjab Police.

However, police teams managed to track them near the metro station.

Later, police caught hold of five criminals and seized their weapons, including 11 illegal arms and a pistol along with more than 100 live rounds of ammunition. "The man then began firing towards a building".

During investigation, it emerged that the accused had taken the house on rent on October 21 with the help of a property dealer, the police said. "Some people inside the building were also firing shots", said Ramesh, who lives near the Dwarka Mor Metro station.
