Google Pixel 2 Finally Putting Screen Issue To Rest

Google Pixel 2 Finally Putting Screen Issue To Rest

While some of these issues have since been helped via software updates, it seems that Google isn't out of the woods yet, as Pixel 2 XL users have now started to complain that the anti-fingerprint coating is prone to peeling.

This particular problem has caused discoloration and even a blue tint on the Pixel 2's display and consumers are not happy for it. Google is yet to acknowledge the issue but we can expect some sort of software patch to fix the issue. For Pixel 2 XL users to be seeing it happen just weeks after the phone launched is an anomaly. Most of the Pixel 2 devices users have reported random Android Auto crashes. The good news is that a faulty microphone should be covered by Google's return policy, so be sure to get in touch with Google about an RMA ASAP if you're experiencing anything abnormal when it comes to the mic on your Pixel 2.

The issue was first brought to light by a Pixel 2 XL user Cynthia O in the Pixel User Community forums.

There was also the issue of some of the Android handsets going out without Android. An insider looked into the Pixel 2's programming and he found that the OLED panel used on the phone is a slightly older version of what is used on the LG V30. When users make a call the other person on the other side can not hear them. One of the major problems is that the Pixel 2 has a potential bendgate situation as Google has fitted an antenna band at the weakest part of the phone. Now, we don't know exactly why the mics are behaving like this, it is probably due to some hardware issue. I was able to replicate the issue by blowing into the bottom speaker. Yes.

Google Pixel 2 XL owners are now reporting screen flashing issues. This doesn't happen all the time. Doing this made my microphone work again and it continues to work when it goes out.

Some users have also reported that screen flashes sometimes when it wakes up to show notifications. Curiously, he also notes that blowing into the speaker while the microphone is working properly causes it to stop working once more.
