Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris details coming in 15 Nov livestream

Bungie pulled back the solar-resistant curtain on Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris in its first DLC livestream today, revealing semi-infinite spaces to fight, the future of Raids, and the return of one sorely missed playlist. Mercury is a place that not many players have even managed to reach.

For fans of the Leviathan Raid, Bungie confirmed new Raid content coming with Curse of Osiris, called Raid Lairs. Bungie is calling it a raid "lair", which functions essentially as a more challenging mini-raid.

In the Curse of Osiris trailer, Osiris interrupts a group of Guardians undertaking the Vault of Glass raid to look into the future, which somehow attracts the attention of the Vex. These will take place in the same general location (in this case, on a giant, planet-eating ship) but offer new challenges, puzzles, places, and even a new end boss for players to overcome in a somewhat shorter overall experience. I can get my shooty-RPG fix with Borderlands or Mass Effect, but no other game in the genre has done what Destiny has as far as raid content goes. The Raid Lair will reward players with unique loot, including armor, weapons, and cosmetics that are different from those found in the standard Leviathan Raid. In the time since, it only saw a new raid once per year, and the common wisdom was that Bungie was too ambitious to want to do more than that. It turns out that the gate where you can enter the forest is stationed there, and it ties in with Osiris' lighthouse, which some players may remember from the original Destiny after completing the Trials of Osiris. This will be on Bungie's Twitch channel, as you'd imagine. It will have a Prestige mode, if you're the tough type.

The stream also detailed a bit of the story to expect with Curse of Osiris.
