Police responded to what they believe is a "terrorist related" incident at London's Oxford Circus Tube station Friday.

Police are now responding to an incident near Oxford Circus Tube station, in central London, at the start of the evening rush hour.

Avoid travelling to the Oxford Street area.

Police said that at this stage there are not any casualties. Met police officers are urging people in the area to go into a building, or remain inside. Shortly afterwards the Metropolitan Police also took similar calls. Nearby Bond Street Station has also been closed due to overcrowding. Local residents said heavy police presence could be seen.

The incident happened as throngs of shoppers flocked to the area for Black Friday retail sales.

The attacks killed 35 people and wounded dozens more. "No casualties, evidence of any shots fired or any suspects were located by police".

People were reportedly "screaming and crying" as they left the station.
