Whatsapp recently introduced their Live location sharing feature, which is now in every messaging service such as on Facebook's messenger and Telegram also added the live locations feature last month. The WhatsApp allowed its users to make voice calls and also video calls, but the concept of a group calling or the conference call has never existed. But now more new features are on their way for WhatsApp users.

As per WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp v2.17.70 beta for iPhone update comes with code references that point towards a group voice and video calling feature.

"The v2.17.70 iOS update has very hidden references to group calls!"

Of course, we all know that it's mostly preferable to call on wifi / 3G / 4G network, but given the connectivity variation in Nigeria, you can never be sure of the other person's internet connectivity.

Additionally, the latest WhatsApp version update has new features for administrator for groups.

Some users have expressed safety concerns as this might be used by strangers to harm others, some who may not be tech-savvy hence unaware. For example, if you are on a call with your friend, you can add another friend into the call simply by pressing the add button and group call including the 3 of you will be created.

"WhatsApp 2.17.70 sends a request to the server to ask if the user you are calling is in another group call!" The Facebook-owned messaging app has been adding a lot of feature for its over 1 billion users.

WhatsApp also announced a tool that will stop a group admin to delete the other group creator.

The admins on WhatsApp group will be able to decide whether the participants can modify the subject of the group, its icon and description. You can choose to inform all or a selected few contacts from your contact list of the number change.

According to technology website Teknepolis, one major update is that when you change your phone number in WhatsApp, your contacts would receive notification of the update.

WhatsApp is also said to be testing the Unsend and Delete for Everyone features.
