Gemma Collins falls down a hole during an awards show

Gemma Collins has opened up about her incredibly eventful day at the Radio 1 Teen Awards when she fell through a trap door on stage.

It was after the Essex star announced that popular ITV2 show Love Island had won that she accidentally fell through a big hole after appearing to miss a step and taking a tumble.

While speaking about the hilarious (sorry, Gemma) incident, the TOWIE star also seemed to hint that she might be taking legal action.

On Sunday night, we reached peak Gemma Collins. I was watching you a little while ago!

"I found the whole experience absolutely hilarious but I am in a bit of pain this morning", she said. I've got a bit of a booty going on, so thank god for that.

"Guys it's ok I'm alive I've always said I'm like Bridget Jones. I've got a bit of a bruise on my left bum cheek - but other than that, I'm rocking and rolling".

Gemma had been in the middle of presenting an award to the Love Island cast when she spun around on stage. and promptly plummeted through a trapdoor in the centre of the stage.

When she fell, some of the Love Island stars had been making their way up to the stage to collect their gong and immediately ducked down to help her up.

Explaining that singer Charli XCX wants to collaborate with her, she continued: "The one that sings Boys, it was dubbed with me saying "girls" and she wants to do a collaboration as well".

She added: "It's just one of these moments I don't think I'm ever going to live down".

Ben then asked if the production company had warned her that the Love Islanders would be coming up from underneath. The poor girl there almost got totally crushed.

Collins posted the video of the horrific incident onto her Twitter profile with the words: "Madonna done it and I done it when I tell you I'm Bridget Jones in an Essex girl it's finally confirmed best and worse moment for me".
