Florida Lowe's customer gives up last generator to stranger

That includes Pam Brekke, of Sanford, who drove 30 miles to a Lowe's when she heard the store was getting a shipment of 216 generators.

Her father has a medical condition and depends on oxygen.

"She need the generator".

Brekke, whose father uses oxygen therapy and relies on electricity to run his machine, was next in line for a generator when she watched workers load the final unit onto the cart of the customer in front of her, sending her into a sudden panic.

"My father's on oxygen, and I'm anxious about this storm", Brekke told WFTV through tears, adding that she has spent days trying to buy a generator. He approached Brekke and offered her the generator he was going to buy without even knowing why she was crying. "He's a stranger. He's an angel from God is what he is", said Brekke. Alvarez said she received a call from Louisiana from a woman who said if she could meet her halfway, she would bring Santiago a generator.

"She needs the generator", Santiago told WFTV-TV, as Brekke wiped away tears. She said she experienced the hurricanes of 2004 and knew what was coming.

"That's a attractive man right there", she said.

Brekke said it's encouraging to see people help one another during such a stressful time.

Lowe's gave Santiago a generator to thank him for his generosity.
