Gionee X1 featuring 3000 mAh priced INR 8999 unveiled

The camera's on Gionee X1 noted to be 8 MP rear facing + 8 MP front facing selfie camera. The smartphone comes with dual card slots and a dedicated SD card slot. Talking about its software front, the Gionee X1 runs company's proprietary Amigo 4.0 custom UI skin, based on Google's Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Coming to the optics front, the Gionne X1 flaunts an 8-megapixel both at the front and the rear end of the device, whereas the primary camera is accompanied with a LED flash, the secondary shooter is not. The device is priced at Rs 8,999, and it comes with a full metal body. The phone also comes with a fingerprint sensor as is evident from the image. It is available in the country via offline retail stores. The device is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and comes coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The smartphone carries a 3000 mAh battery and rear fingerprint sensor. The buyers will get two PayTM vouchers worth 250 cashback, which can be used with purchases over Rs 350 on PayTM mall. For selfies and video calling, there is a front camera of 8 megapixels too. It measures 144.3 x 72.2 x 8.8 mm and weighs 145 grams.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Airtel customers who purchase the X1 will get 10GB of data per month for up to 6 months on data recharges of 1GB and above.

"We are confident that the new line of products which we plan to launch soon will not only impress our customers in terms of the prices but also with their striking features and premium quality", said Alok Shrivastava, Director - Business Intelligence and Planning, Gionee India. We are not so sure the Gionee X1 may make it past Nougat. One can count on the accelerometer, light sensor, gyroscope, gravity and proximity sensor as the sensors fitted on the new Gionee X1.
