Cheeto Trump Endorses Police Brutality, Cops Laugh and Cheer

Police chiefs from around the world condemned President Trump's tough-talking speech Friday in which he encouraged Long Island cops to rough up MS-13 gang suspects.

Trump also spoke dismissively of the practice by which arresting officers shield the heads of handcuffed suspects as they are placed in police cars.

Trump said, "When you see these thugs being thrown into the back of a paddy wagon, you just see them thrown in, rough".

"Like when you guys put somebody in the vehicle and you're protecting their head".

Trump said he plans to destroy MS-13 by funding another 10,000 Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers, in addition to employing hundreds more federal judges and prosecutors.

When a police officer takes someone into custody, you have no idea if they are guilty or not and it is illegal and unlawful for police officers to try to administer punishment when there have been no formal charges filed, no conviction, no sentencing.

The White House had invited law enforcement personnel exclusively to the speech, which was meant to address the challenge of fighting the MS-13 gang and drug cartel. Prosecutors said they were lured to the park and then ambushed by at least a dozen MS-13 members wielding machetes and other weapons. The leftist media has seized on one aspect of what many consider to be one of the president's best speeches; with the specific intent of distracting from the very urgent and very critical content delivered.

"We will find you, we will arrest you, we will jail you and we will deport you", he said, to an ovation from an already standing audience.

So yeah, obviously there are rules on the books that say police brutality isn't allowed, but the reaction of the actual members of the department would imply that maybe they don't really care too much about that.

Looking around the crowd of protesters, Mr. Serrano said, "This reinforces my hope that we are going to be able to fight against this president and the machine, and all the hate that's going on".

In a tweet after President Trump's appearance, the Suffolk County Police Department's Twitter account stated, "The SCPD has strict rules and procedures relating to the handling of prisoners".

Vanita Gupta, who headed the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division under former President Barack Obama, said Trump's remarks were "unconscionable" and undermined the positive efforts of local law enforcement to build up community trust.

However, he singled out one Republican official - the only one of the many he recognized from the dais who was not actually in the room.

All but a few of those charged in the deaths were citizens of El Salvador or Honduras who entered the USA illegally, according to law enforcement officials.
