United Kingdom police locate potentially significant auto in Manchester bomb investigation

Police said 17 people have been arrested in connection with the investigation.

A man arrested on the south coast in connection with the Manchester Arena suicide bombing has been released without charge.

Counter-terrorism police have said they believe Salman Abedi acted largely alone as he assembled the nail bomb, having initially feared the killer was helped by a network of accomplices.

The arrest came after officers seized a vehicle which they said could provide a "significant development" in the investigation.

Ismail Abedi, the brother of Manchester bomber Salman Abedi, has been released without charge.

He is the eight person to be released from United Kingdom custody without any further action, while another ten remain in cells.

According to the report, the 22-year-old Abedi had met with the Islamist group during trips to Sabratha and Tripoli, Libya, where he linked up with a group known as Katibat al-Battar al-Libi.
